One of the world’s most popular online poker sites, Poker Stars launched a new tournament format called Time Tourneys. The new tourney format is available to play from just a $1 buy-in 24 hours a day. The length of Time Tourneys range between 15 minutes and 180 minutes.

Team Poker Stars Pro, Bertrand ‘ElkY’ Grospellier, said: “Time Tourneys are going to be so much fun. I often want to play a tournament but don’t have hours to spare, so these are just perfect. I think Time Tourneys are also going to be intense, because as the clock ticks down there’s going to be even more action. I can’t wait to get playing them!”

PokerStars is giving everyone the chance to try the new format for free to all players who make a deposit of $30 or more using the code ‘TIME’ between October 19-28. Free ticket must be used by 23.59 ET on October 28. Players are only eligible for one ticket.

Time Tourneys can be found in the Poker Stars client by clicking on the ‘Tourney’ tab and looking for tournaments marked with a stopwatch icon. Players can also search for them by typing ‘Time’ into the Tourney Filter.

From October 22 a new event will be added to the Saturday Line-Up. The Saturday Countdown will run every week at 13.00 ET with a $10,000 guarantee. This is a two-hour Time Tourney featuring a $22 buy-in. For the following Saturday – October 29 – all the Saturday Line-Up guarantees will be doubled!
